Show Choir Swings Out of the Season

The Lewis Central Choir Swing Show is a bittersweet for the students in show choir. All three of the LC show choirs performed their final show of the 2022 season. The season was full of accomplishments for the students individually and as a group.

Titan Force, the middle school show choir, lead by Ms. Natalie Chandler, performed first. Their season began in the summer with practices throughout the fall. The show, containing songs like “Survivor” took home a first place finish at the only competition they went to this year.

The all girls group Company, took the stage second. Company performed at five competitions throughout the year, and for the first time in recent memory, made it to finals in a competition. Director Sam Schroeder is in third year leading the group and was “brought to tears” as they performed in their last competition. The show, Sweet but Psycho, featured songs like Candy Man, Sweet but Psycho, and Toxic. The choir features freshmen through juniors with a cameo by the Candyman himself, Adam Miller.

Last was Corporation, which went to six competitions throughout the year, making finals in every competition. Led by Mr. Kevin Palu, Corporation took home a sixth place finish, two fifth, a third, a second, and a grand champion at the Spirit of the Lakes Competition. Jaxon Roberts ‘22 took home top male soloist twice this season. The show has been one of the most successful seasons for Corporation, as they competed against schools sometimes over twice their size.

Many students were brought to tears at the end of the night.
